The day dawn’s sunny bright again, our September summer stretching on, and the ease of leaving home at 7am in a pair of running shorts all set to run Parkrun, is feeling now to be normal…

How quickly we adjust…

But the quicker we do adjust to ‘whatever is’, the easier for the ease within

For presence

For appreciation of each moment we live

Each moment we are alive on planet earth

The more we embrace the moment the happier we are

Unhappiness so often springing from a desire that things had been different, were different right now and would be different in the future

And yet we are all the creators

We are the ones responsible for our happiness or unhappiness

We are the ones that choose our response to any given situation

It helps when we are able to say

‘I am where I am and its okay’…

This is of course much harder in the middle of loss and pain and disappointment

And it is no way intended as a way to push down or avoid necessary processes of grieving, endings and losses – pain and sadness

However, when we know the place within that is always still, always calm – our eternal spirit that was never born and never dies

That watches everything, in the midst of our divorce or oor grief – our loss  – our disappointments

The part that is still, silent, is peace everlasting

When we know who we are, it doesn’t negate the human pain, but it does allow us to access the peace everlasting, the support that is always within us

We are our resource and the more we practise being present, being still, going with the flow and being with what is – the more we grow, the more we know ourselves and awareness, the more we experience love and life as an eternal flow…

I was on my way to a fast flat Parkrun course…

Which on arrival we found to be cancelled!

I was already planning some intervals around Victoria dock instead, when Richard – our new friend – suggested Beckton Parkrun just over a mile away…

Anadi ran in his street clothes and I was of course already dressed to run…

We arrived to a super friendly group of people, with a few of us arriving from Victoria Dock in Ubers on the DLR and on foot…

I loved my run around Beckton Parkrun

Not such a super fast course

But when we go with the flow

Embrace what is

Life is an ever unfolding adventure

And every ordinary moment extraordinary
